This rare, 4-page pamphlet in Ottoman language lists the important facts and statistics on the carob, a plant growing in the Mediterranean, which was of a great significance during World War I in the Ottoman Empire. Easy to transport and store as well as rich in sugar, it could be used for syrups, jams, flour, various other food and also for animal feed.
