Description

This large uncommon map, printed on four sheets shows the Kingdom of Württemberg and Grand Duchy of Baden, today Baden-Württemberg in Germany. The relief map on the bottom shows elevations.

The map is not dated or signed, but is in contemporary literature mentioned as a work of lithographer and engraver Leonhard Zertahelly, who published it at Ebener’s publishing house in Stuttgart in 1835 (Johann Daniel Georg von Memminger, Beschreibung von Württemberg, 1841, p. 636).

The map is rare. We could only trace three institutional copies in German libraries and none outside Germany.
