Description

A work by a Cricassian historian Mehmet Fetgerey Şoenu (1890-1931) in Ottoman language, describes the Caucasus, the historical homeland of the Circassians.

The work was written, as many other Şoenu’s works, shortly after the foundation of Republic of Turkey, when Circassians were hoping for bigger recognition of their culture and history.

The quotation on the cover was taken from work by Jean Carol, Colonisation russe: les deux routes du Caucase, published in 1899.
