A rare first edition of White émigré Aleksey Tolstoy’s work The Road to Calvary was written in the time of staying in Paris after the October Revolution, and was published in 1922, after he moved to Berlin. Two year later he became one of rare White Russian writers, who returned to the Soviet Union and built a new career there.   

  This rare poster in Serbian language featuring two Soviet documentary movies was made in 1948, in the year of Tito-Stalin fall-out, what caused Yugoslavia's expulsion from the Cominform.

  A very rare and decorative folding map of the Russian Empire, providing a fine overview of the growing railway system in European Russia and imperial expansion in the Far East, printed in Russian Cyrillic, and issued by a boutique printer in St. Petersburg.

  An extremely rare first edition of an interpretation of the Russian Revolution predicted through Dostoyevsky’s work, printed in Sofia, Bulgaria in Russian language in 1921, was based on a manuscript, written in a prison in Galicia in 1919 by a Russian exile Metropolitan Anthony Khrapovitsky.

  A first edition of Mayakovsky’s futuristic poem hailing the 150-million-strong Russians to start the world revolution was published anonymously in 1921. 

Small 4°, 89 pp., original wrapper with lettering, later spine (wrappers slightly stained, tiny ships in the edges,  inside with light age-toning, partly uncut, otherwise in a good condition).
