A unique late 19th century binding, made of Japanese leather wallpapers   Small 4°, XXXVII, [3 pp.], 114 pp. with illustrations in text, [2 pp.], contemporary debossed gold paper boards with hand coloured details, brown calf spine with gold lettering, marbled endpapers, composed of two different patterns (paper inside with foxing, minor rubbing to the edges of the binding).

  A 1923 pictorial map of the world by a Japanese manga artist Ogawa Jihei.   Colour lithograph, 78 x 110 cm (30.7 x 43.3 inches) (soft folds with small holes partly repaired with tape, tiny tears in margins, otherwise in a good condition).  

  8°.  114 pp., later marbled paper wrappers (transcription of the title and date in Latin letters and Roman numbers in brown and black ink on the cover, tiny tears in the tile page, otherwise in a good condition).  

[20 pp.], 23 x 19 cm (9 x 7.5 inches), manuscript in Italian, in dark brown ink on 10 sheets of laid paper with a post horn watermark and name of Van der Ley paper makers, and watermarks with initials GR and a crown (minor age-toning, tiny holes from binding on the spine, unbound and inserted in a later marbled…

  One of the earliest reports on the underground movement in Jewish ghettos and prison camps in Poland during WWII was published by Central Jewish Historical Committee in Poland in 1946.  

A decorative rare invitation card, designed by a famous Slovenian Architect Jože Plečnik, for his honorary doctorate, with usual contemporary manuscript corrections of the wrong quoted year.
