  A rare folding map of Serbia and Belgrade, was printed in Budapest two days after the Austro-Hungarians declared war on Serbia, what marked the beginning of the World War I. - One of the earliest maps showing the theater of the WW I.    

  Very rare – the first edition of Captain William Nichelson’s masterly large-format sea chart of St. Augustin’s Bay, Madagascar, a key harbour on the Mozambique Channel, along the route between Europe and India, first issued in the 1767 edition of William Herbert’s important atlas, ‘A New Directory for the East Indies’.

  Very Rare – the first issue of the first large-format printed sea chart of the South Coast of Hainan, based on a reconnaissance survey conducted by John Haldane of the British East India Company, from Sayer & Bennett’s magnificent ‘The East-India Pilot, or Oriental Navigator’.

  A highly attractive contemporary manuscript copy of the famous map of the key port of Paita, Peru, from George Anson’s account of his Circumnavigation of the globe, during which his men attacked Paita in a dramatic piratical raid in 1741.

  This map of the Panama Canal was issued in 1915, the first year after opening of the canal as a folding map with information for travellers. The detailed large map in the middle shows the canal with its routes.

  A beautifully drafted manuscript map of the Battle of Abukir (1799), a key showdown between French and Ottoman forces during Napoleon’s Egyptian Campaign, drafted in 1833 by the Austrian soldier Jacob Bodendorfer.
