Description
An unusual Ottoman geography exercise book, focusing on America, was published for students. The publication includes 7 blank maps: the entire continent, North America with mountain ranges, North America with political borders, United States, Central America and the Caribbean, South America with mountain ranges and South America with political borders.
Each map is not marked with any names and has a juxtaposed chart with pale outlines of the coasts. The maps and charts were supposed to be filled with information, gained from the lectures and literature.
The atlas was, according to the back cover, published separately, as a part of a series of 6 pamphlets with maps of Europe (2 pamphlets), Asia (1 pamphlet), Africa (2 pamphlets) and Oceania (1 pamphlet). The publications had altogether 42 maps and had a sequel pagination.
