Engraved frontispiece, showcasing the map and interior of the Holy Grave, [4 pp.] title and index, 148 pp., folding lithographed map, coloured in outline, contemporary marbled board and brown goat spine with gilt tooling, title on the black label and gold initial A. V. n the lower part, contemporary endpapers with blue dots, yellow edges (stamp of Teutonic Knights Order of Ljubljana on the title page, light foxing, stronger to first and last pages, minor rubbing to the binding, tiny folds in corners) (# 70756).

The map Karte von Palestina bearbeitet zum Gebrauche der heiligen Schrift insbesondere zur Geschichte Jesu (Palestine, Revised for Utilization of the Holy Script, especially for the Story of Jesus), lithographed by B. Herder in Freiburg, showcases the Holy Land in the time of the New Testament.

The book is very rare and we could no trace any examples outside German libraries.
