Description
A highly decorative bird’s eye view with art-deco lettering expands from the Tatra Mountains in the lower part to the Baltic sea in the north.
The author Tadeusz Zwoliński (1893-1955) was a polish painter, cartographer and an avid explorer of the Tatra mountains, mostly its underground system. His first cartographic works were centered on the Tatras. He also authored guide books and series of photographs of the mountains.
His more unknown works were perspective maps, which he based on bird’s eye views, without a doubt influenced by his sketches and photographs, taken from high mountain peaks.
