Description
A decorative small engraving representing Saint Luke the Evangelist writing, accompanied by his symbol in a shape of an ox.
The image is a result of a cooperation of two brothers from a prominent Flemish family of artist Wierix – Hieronymus (1553–1619) and Anton (c.1552 – c.1604). the family played an important role in the development of prints in central Europe in the late 16th and early 17th centuries.
