Description

A detailed book on Tripoli and Libya with description of its history, monuments and current inhabitants was published in the Ottoman Language in the year of the end of the Italo-Turkish War. The war was fought between the Ottoman Empire and Italy from September 1911 until October 1912.

The text and images glorify a long history of the Ottomans in the region.

The Ottoman Empire finally officially lost Libya to Italy at the Treaty of Lausanne in 1923.
