Description

This is a well preserved set of the first 10 issues of a scarce Turkish pin-up magazine from the 1950s. The brilliant colour images on the wrappers and black and white illustrations inside are a collage of western-influenced erotic, sometimes borderline vulgar images, contemporary Turkish taste clashing with traditional values and political satire.

The magazine was issued only in 15 issues between July 6th and December 13th 1952. The production stopped because of lack of suscribers.

We could only trace one insitutional example on Worldcat (Princeton University Library).
